Publication No.1
Enjoy my new mini-magazine, delivered every Sunday. 7 days 7 looks, seasonal recipes, insights, travel tips, beauty secrets, interior design ideas, and my weekly highlights.
Hey and Welcome!
I've had the opportunity to work with magazines, books, TV, and podcasts. My passion for journalism, the written word, and visual storytelling runs deep. There is nothing quite like the glossy magazine experience! However, navigating the constant updates and algorithms that dictate taste and content can be challenging. I’d much rather have a smaller, loyal following than a bought one.
Over the past year, I’ve been reflecting on how to share content and I’ve landed on a mini-format of a Sunday magazine. A space where you can pause for a moment and enjoy a bit more inspo, info and links. Enter Substack! It’s like an extended version of my Sunday photo roll for those of you who follow me.
Every week, every Sunday, I’ll share some regular segments featuring this week’s looks, travel tips, recipes, design inspiration, and those little things that caught my eye throughout the week.
I hope you enjoy it! Looking forward to connecting with you this weekend.

Evening at The Royal Swedish Opera
If you're in Stockholm or plan to visit. Go visit the The Royal Swedish Opera and see “A Midsummer Night's Dream - The Ballet”.
It all started with an idea based on William Shakespeare's play “A Midsummer Night's Dream”, were Alexander Ekman decided to focus on his own experiences of a tradition with deep roots. And on one bright summer night… Between dream and reality, long tables are set and the night is all about dancing.
The play has enchanted audiences for many years and performances with its choreographic storytelling and humor. Together with Mikael Karlsson's captivating and sensual music, the celebration offers ‘Helan går’ and the classic Swedish ‘nubben’. It will be a Midsummer not to forget.

Beauty Secret
In my notes of what I will call ‘beauty secret’ I highlight my current beauty obsession, the perfect go-to product or latest product in the industry. I like it very simple and always look for long lasting results when it comes to beauty, make up and bathroom routines on a daily basis.
So, we have now entered September. This week I wish to highlight the perfect scent when the weather forecast goes from summer to fall. The perfect September perfume capture (in my opinion) the transition between the last warm days of late summer and the first crisp feeling in the autumn air. It balances lightness and depth, freshness and warmth - like a chunky knit sweater over a summer skirt, captured in one sensual scent.
My signature scent I’ve been using for many years now? The answer is, Le Labo Santal 33. A mix of cardamom and notes of iris and violet. Musky and spicy tones of sandalwood and cedar wood. Or, as the perfume brand itself describes it.
“Here is, in a few words, what SANTAL 33 is... An open fire... The soft drift of smoke... Where sensuality rises after the light has gone.”
You will find the scent - here.
The house of Hermes’s perfumer Christine Nagel is the brain behind the chypre fragrance: Barénia. Have you smelled it? It’s expression, with it’s captivating intensity and sensuality, has a feminine touch full of mystery. Notes? Butterfly lily and the depth of oak wood. The suggestive leather tones of Barénia leather harmoniously underline the intensity of a perfect patchouli, creating a unique and captivating signature. Mossy, floral, and woody. Check!
You can get the iconic bottle - here.
The truly scent of September that really embrace the first days of autumn - especially the essence of Swedish nature. A bottle full of the promise of new beginnings. From the beauty masters, Björk and Berries. You will find hints of eucalyptus, pomelo, lavender, vetiver smoke and pink praline in this bottle. Mmm.

BOOK RECOMMENDATION.
“The Women is a novel of epic love and devastating loss. It is a story of a memorable heroine, and her deep friendships, whose idealism and courage under fire will define an era. Their friendship changed lives. Their bravery changed history. Women can be heroes, too.”

DECO DREAM.
In Sydney’s eastern areas, you will find this ‘New Classic’ home that was built in the early 2000s. Interior designer Joss Knight, director of emerging Sydney-based practice Studiojos, is the architect genius behind the interior touch up. He’s design goal was to find the perfect mix of materials and balance that breathe ‘durability with warmth’.
“While the house’s footprint stayed largely the same, Studiojos collaborated with Blue Label Construction and made significant changes to the layout of each room: thresholds updated, bathrooms redesigned, circulation in key areas improved, a fashionable new palette of materials and finishes introduced, landscaping transitions redefined, and artworks placed.”
More details I will remember from this home: Minimalism of contemporary designs, curated artworks, handwoven metal mesh cabinet, marble that…
… “gently spills out from the stone benchtops above like layers of cream and jam in a Victorian sponge.” “The layered stone edge was inspired by European counters and antique joinery, but we scaled it to feel bolder and sculptural, for a more contemporary take on this classic style of detailing.”
I also write down follow descriptions and download inspiration from…
“Knight nods to the craftsmanship “of old Italian homes” and the elegance “of Parisian apartment” when asked to look deep into the well of inspiration from which this project sprung. But, he maintains, “the strongest reference was the family themselves. Their lifestyle, values, and vision of home, which is truly ‘The New Classic’.”
