Behind the scenes – and beneath the surface
This week I’m inviting you behind the scenes, into the studio where collections are born. You rarely get to see the journey there – all the invisible work that goes into every finished piece. That’s something I want to get better at showing. The unfinished. The messy. The real.
And it reminds me of something bigger.
This spring my feed has been filled with sun-soaked images from beautiful places. But behind those same images, it’s been alot of grief around me. Friends and family who left us far too soon.
Work and life. Joy and grief. It all exists at the same time, but we rarely see the full picture – of others, or even of ourselves.
Next time you’re scrolling and everything looks perfect, try to remember that. A photo is a surface. A small, curated slice of a life that is so much more. 💌 Love from S

Note to self
STEP INSIDE.
“AD is welcomed by Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent to tour their lovingly restored farm in Portugal. When the interior design power couple bought this 400-year-old farm, it was lying in ruin, but through a labor of love, they turned it into their dream multigenerational family home, connecting them to Jeremiah’s Portuguese roots. Blending rustic design with modern interiors, the farm is now a European paradise complete with goats, sheep, and peacocks.”
Eyes on this beautiful renovated Portuguese farm. Loving the beautiful, enormous pottery handcrafts and using lots of local materials when creating this home. Creating a new style of aspirational interior that is more down to earth and natural rather than overly curated. Step inside, get inspired and watch the whole home video, here.

Behind the scenes
Behind the Collection: Midsummer
Over a year ago, it all started where it always does — sitting with Pinterest open, trying to find a feeling.
The idea: a Midsummer collection. My biggest yet. I wanted to translate elderflower cordial, strawberries with cream, bare feet in the grass, a whole summer still ahead of you, Swedish craftsmanship, inherited lace tablecloths, flowers tucked under a pillow — and turn all of that into clothes. Into a concept that feels right for 2026.
In Gothenburg for the presentation, I kept asking myself: if you took Swedish tradition to its very roots, how would she dress? Celebrating on a French or Italian countryside. On a rocky archipelago island. In a fishing shed on the west coast. The collection had to work everywhere.
Designs and decisions X 1000.
How it turned out.
When creating the collection, we focus a lot on the feel, fit, and longevity of the pieces. Many styles are made from natural fibers like cotton and linen blends, while some fabrics include synthetics to help with structure and wearability, so it’s a thoughtful mix of materials throughout the collection.
I wanted this skirt to be a continuation of a flower field. From above.
The number one accessory 2026. In your hair, on your hip, over your bikini top on the beach.
Then came the fittings, on the dress form and on myself. Some ideas vanished immediately. Others became obvious, unmistakable choices.
My dream shorts. With this matching shirt.
From first fitting 2 how it turned out.
Can we make a shoe in this colour and satin?
Embroidery but not in black. Beige and blended, please.
Every print needed to feel like a watercolour painting. Soft. Poppy fields, honeysuckle, something embroidered. I moved on to choosing lace, fabrics, broderie anglaise.
Yes! Just like that. From above.
This suit was the first design I did for Nakd over 4 years ago. I always wanted it in a summer version and linen cotton blend. And here it is!
The shorts that sold out directly last year I had do make in a new updated color. With a matching top.
Once everything was locked in, it was about finding the right location, the right light, the right feeling to capture it all. Every angle. Pasta in the breaks, full energy the whole way through. Elderflower in bloom at the location.
That smile when a garment sits exactly as you imagined it. The cape turned out just as airy and romantic as I had sketched. The shoes are both comfortable and in that pale yellow I pulled straight from the Pantone swatch book.
Now there’s only the event and the launch left…. next week in Stockholm. Can’t wait!

And. Strawberries and cream. In two different sets. Updated versions from my 2025 collection that I love. Comfy and cute.

Highlighting other women that inspire me
Every week I open up my inspo folder for you to see where I find my inspiration. I think we all need to be better at giving credit to our sources of inspiration.
Studio Ebur: Where Art Lives
Studio Ebur is a Paris-based interior design studio that has quietly become one of the most compelling voices in contemporary European design. Their Le Marais apartment project, featured in collaboration with Est Living, is a masterclass in what happens when a space is treated less like a home and more like a living gallery.
What sets Studio Ebur apart is their fearless integration of fine art and functional space. Bronze sculptures stand beside stainless steel kitchen islands. A Rodin-esque figure shares the room with herringbone parquet floors and woven leather dining chairs. Nothing feels placed everything feels found, as if the objects simply belong there across centuries.
Their material palette is deeply considered: warm oak paneling, cool Venetian marble, brushed steel, and raw stone exist in a tension that feels simultaneously ancient and razor-sharp modern. The bathroom alone clad floor-to-ceiling in dramatic grey marble with a ruffled fabric pendant lamp reads like a poem.
Studio Ebur understands that great interiors are never just decoration. They are a reflection of a worldview. Their spaces feel inhabited by people who read, who collect, who travel people with genuine curiosity. That intellectual confidence is exactly what makes their work so rare, and so deeply inspiring.
Best of budget
When spring season slowly becomes summer. My way. The styling that mix soft tailoring, crispy cottons, lace-trimmed details and silky satin fabric. Color palettes that feel sun-washed and refined, balancing romance with scandi-sophistication. A wardrobe that combines essentials with a poetic softness that celebrates simplicity, comfort, and effortless chic. Wearable for slow city walks, weekend escapes, and sunlit afternoons. Here you have this week’s fashion wardrobe in a best of budget package.

Beauty
Beauty with sun-kissed skin is all about finding the right shades of pink. When your complexion has that warm, golden glow from the sun, the wrong blush can wash you out but the right one? It makes everything click.
For me, it comes down to soft, peachy-rose tones that complement the warmth without competing with it. This blush was on constant rotation last summer and honestly, I couldn’t put it down. The kind of product that just works, every single day, whether you’re barely trying or going all out.
A little shimmer, a flush of color, and you’re done. That effortless, just-been-outside look that no amount of contouring can fake.
Glow up. ✨
No.1 Nail Polish Essie. On my nails. A blushing, soft pink nail polish with an iridescent pearlescent effect and a golden shimmer.
No.2 Glow Blush Caia. This blush melts into the skin with a silky powder-to-cream texture. The creamy, buildable formula blends seamlessly for a natural flush with radiant glow and a soft shimmer.
No.3 Soft Melt Lip Gloss Caia. Newest product. A lightly scented lip balm that provides intense hydration, leaving the lips silky smooth with a glossy shine finish and a touch of color. Peptides, hyaluronic acid, and collagen help give the appearance of fuller, softer lips.
Take a seat
The Table Is Set (Even If Summer Plans Aren’t)
A tablecloth with wild strawberry vines, blush-pink chairs on a pebbled beach, a berry tart on a wicker stand, and a jar of chamomile daisies that looks picked on the way there. The sea behind it all barely teal, almost grey, as if midsummer is still making up its mind. Can’t wait to set my table in the archipelago with exactly this mix. Done!
When in Miami
Pastis, Wynwood
Pastis started as a New York icon that helped transform the Meatpacking District from gritty to glam and its Wynwood outpost feels exactly like it. The curved zinc bar, white subway tile, and woven bistro chairs instantly transport me back to NYC. The food is classic French bistro, the energy is buzzy and theatrical. Close your eyes and you’re on Gansevoort Street just with Miami heat outside
Cannes but my way
Film Festival in Cannes….but I’ve just been looking at photos of the most incredible place near Cannes and I had to share it with you.
It’s called the Palais Bulles (Palace of Bubbles), designed by Hungarian architect Antti Lovag and later owned by Pierre Cardin. It sits on a clifftop overlooking the Mediterranean and honestly looks like it came from another planet. The whole building is made up of organic, rounded bubble-shaped domes no straight lines or sharp angles anywhere.
The interiors are just as wild: flowing curved walls, circular doorways, warm wood floors, and skylights that flood everything with this soft, dreamy light. And outside there’s a cliffside pool with travertine steps and views straight out to the sea.
It’s one of those places that makes you question why all buildings aren’t made this way. Pierre Cardin actually hosted parties there for years — Elton John, Pablo Picasso, the whole crowd.
Next time we’re near Cannes, this is the detour I want to make. What do you think does it look as unreal to you as it does to me? 🫧
Book
In my hand luggage to Stockholm. Lena Dunham’s Famesick is a raw, funny, and deeply honest memoir about what it really costs to be famous.
It covers the years 2010–2020, when Girls launched Dunham into the center of pop culture while she privately battled chronic illness. She tackles ambition, relationships, and mental and physical illness with ruthless self-deprecation and humor.
It hit #1 on the New York Times bestseller list after release — and it’s the kind of messy, gossipy, surprisingly moving book that’s hard to put down.

Beauty in different forms that caught my eye this week. Simple as that.
On that note
This quote has been sitting with me for a while and it captures something I believe deeply: the most meaningful work we’ll ever do is the inner kind. No audience required.
It’s also why every piece in my collection is designed to reflect that version of you the one doing the quiet, unglamorous work of becoming.
A huge thank you for all the beautiful comments you’ve shared around the collection. Reading your words reminded me exactly why this matters. You see it, and that means everything.
Keep going. From a sidewalk in Miami. 💕
